Kura (蔵) is Japanese for "a place of safekeeping" — somewhere things of value are held with care. That is the idea behind everything we make.

We are a small studio based in the Lake District, UK, creating handcrafted textured canvas art. Each piece is built up with layers of texture and pigment, making every work entirely one-of-a-kind.

Our work is for people who want something real in their homes — not a print, not a reproduction, but something made by hand with intention.
